Back on...Holidays are coming!

Well, there's one festive dragon! LOL. Myself in Iow Limbo Sandbox.

Been long enough since I posted, I know. Lots going on, with holidays and such. Even in the Isle of Wyrms, with the Winter Solstice Hatching less than a week after the Winter Festival. Been a full ten days!

Below is a sample conversation I have as a guide, with a new hatchling owner. I edited it and changed the names, for brevity and privacy.

[21:44]  Cora Heslop: nice mp

[21:45]  mp: Yep yep

[21:45]  Cora Heslop: would you like me to verify it so you can join the group around here?

[21:45]  Cora Heslop: *groups

[21:46]  Fire Hatchling Egg: Click me once to begin hatching

[21:46]  Cora Heslop: I locked up a couple times, missed seeing it

[21:48]  Cora Heslop: I'll send a nc to a guardian about the council of hatchlings. You should hear back in 24-48 hours...let me know if you don't. =D

[21:54]  Cora Heslop: it has the same rules as the isles, keep it pg, no language or adult stuff

[21:55]  Cora Heslop: yes, with three things: be a guest at least 2 weeks, follow the rules, and own a Daryth avatar. =D

First Day Off the Grid

Well, it is actually nice to be off the grid for awhile. I've only been online for 60 seconds, to check messages. 

I'm using my timer in RL better: checking messages, updating my blogs, catching up with friends, and enjoying quality time with my hubby. 

Sanity exists in a good blend and balance of time in RL and SL.

Post Festival...whew!

Just got done with Isle of Wyrms Winter Festival. As tired as I am...that's not half as tired as some who pulled it all together! lol. I'm taking a brain break from SL till Wednesday, to tend to RL matters.  The festival was great! Don't forget the hatching, coming on the 21st!

Fierce Storm in SL

My, my, what a uproar! Linden Labs lit a match without checking for dynamite first. 

A 67% increase in OpenSpace tier fees. For everyone: new buyer to old holders. The postings are climbing into the tens of thousands.

Will this affect me? Very likely. Will kill a deal I set up to help a rp realm move, likely crimp or kill the only other sim I rp in, and I may even lose the lovely home I have on a generous friend's os sim island.

Thought I'd add a pic of me as a human. This is me tending bar at a Pirate-themed party. My trusty Chihuahua, Dantes, made sure no one stiffed me on tips! LOL.

Been busy...

I modded my dragon av rather extensively..with my own look, and custom scale textures. Not bad, eh? I find I enjoy playing with stuff. Just tonight, I built a dragon-sized coffee mug, and a milk bath for my cat av....fun!

Yeah, it's been awhile....

But here is a pic of my freshly modded dragon avatar...I'd been trying for part of this for months. See what you think.

Up late.....but fun!

I stayed up late to blow off some RL steam. SL ate a whole crate of treasure hunt items I'd been collecting for weeks, (what else is new?) and since tis late, no one was on that I knew. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

Been a few...big weekend.

Yes, it's been a few days since my last post....a lot has happened. A festival, RL junk, and such. Here are some pics though, to fill you in till I can post again...the Isle of Wyrms had a big summer festival, including a birthday party for the dragon creator, Daryth Kennedy.
